
About ZWAD
Zeliangrong Welfare Association, Delhi (ZWAD) is a registered non-profit, non-political, non-communal, and non-sectarian organization established in 2006.
The association is dedicated to the socio-economic development, education, cultural preservation, health, environment, sports, and overall welfare of the Zeliangrong people, as well as other backward and underprivileged communities including ST, SC, OBC, and minorities.


Our Services
Connecting communities through meaningful projects and support. Raising funds to fuel lasting community impact. Hands-on initiatives improving local neighborhoods.
What we do
Provide physical, financial, and moral support during medical emergencies.
Assist community members with police cases, legal issues, and related matters.
Support students through career counseling, educational programs, and admission helpdesk (in collaboration with Zeliangrong Students’ Union, Delhi).
Organize social, cultural, sports, and entertainment events to promote unity and cultural identity.
Run key social welfare projects like Rani Gaidinliu Working Women Hostel and Hindi Learning Centre for Northeast people in Delhi.
Pay tribute to freedom fighters Rani Gaidinliu and Haipou Jadonang on their anniversaries to spread awareness about their contributions.

Our Mission
Our mission at ZWAD is to empower underprivileged individuals and communities by providing access to education, healthcare, games & sports, and basic necessities, and also promoting the cultural identity of the tribal communities particularly targeting the Zeliangrong community living in Delhi and NCR. We work towards sustainable development and social justice, and human rights aiming to create positive and lasting change in the communities we serve irrespective of their different races, cultures, languages, castes or creeds/religions, etc.
